First Goal Review of 2026.

It's been awhile since my 2026 resolution post and 2 months have came to an end. I thought I would just do a summary of whether I've achieved anything

Quick summary: No.

Long breakdown below;

1. Mindful eating

Not really. It's tough cause I really love eating. And I cannot stand to waste perfectly good food so if there is a big portion I will still eat to the best of my abilities. Ate so much during the CNY.

Had so much abalone and I love it.

Anyway I'm thinking that maybe I should start eating dinner earlier and start eating breakfast.

So, let us start with trying to adjust that.

2. 1 core based session and 1 pole practice on my own every week.

Honestly, This haven't been happening. Due to many reasons but mainly it's just that I'm plain lazy.

and also I've decided that fitness is probably not what I want to focus on lately.

Ever since I got back from Thailand, my skin is being compromised and it's not really healing.

I've been more diligent in doing my skincare but my skin just doesn't get better.

I think my body is too tired so instead of trying to focus on fitness, I think I have to prioritize my health in terms of gettting sufficient rest and nutrition instead of being stronger and flexible.

I'll still work on getting stronger and more flexible but probably in class.

Gonna wait till I'm recovered enough to start doing this.

Meanwhile I'll set a new target to support my new goal. - Aim to complete all night routine and be in bed by 11PM for at least 3 times a week.

3. Sorting out digital and physical data to make it accessible.
Didn't do shit except for linking my personal computers to my google drive. Now the files are accessible even when I'm not at home. But do I actually need those data to be readily accessible? :O

I think I need to filter out what I need to be accessible and start filing and linking them instead of just randomly linking them up.

I guess it's gonna be this sat when I finally have time to declutter my physical and digital stuffs.

4. 1 book a week.
Oh boy! I was wrong 1 book a week is actually kinda insane when you actually have to go through a non fiction book. There's many things to absorb. And also, some books have a lot of pages.

It's not possible to finish and still retain the information if I have to skim through in a week.
Anyway, I think there's too much things that I don't want to give up on.
Like Novel reading, Social media doom scrolling, Drama watching, playing computer games.
1 book a week is not really realistic?
Lets try and do 1 or 2 book in a month.
Sounds more realistic than 1 book in a week.

However it's the start of March now and I have yet completed another book.
I did borrow a few books but I didn't actually start or finished them.
Shall write about it if I did eventually managed to finish the book.

I read and completed the E-book version of How Dare You though.
I'll probably write about it in another post but my goal for reading 1 book is for self improvement so that book doesn't qualify.

Summary:

I failed miserably and decide to set new goals for the month of March.
Updated goals resequenced to make it flow better.

1. Have lighter dinner & eat before 8PM (Part of original point 1)
2. Sleep before 11PM after finishing my night routine.  (Point 2)
3. Have breakfast  (Part of original Point 1)
4. Sort out my digital & physical data & make it accessible (previous point 3)
5. Read 1 book every month. (Previous Point 5)
