Came across the show trailer on 12 Feb 2026.
The trailer was so interesting that I had to download iQIYI just to watch it.

As a free member, I'm hooked after a few episodes so I've decided to sign up for membership (1 month) just to finish the drama. However at that time, the full show was not released yet.

Last week, the show was released fully to premium members of iQIYI.
As someone who absolutely couldn't wait to finish the story, I've upgraded and finished the whole series.

It's CNY so there's lots of gatherings. Since I didn't want my membership to go to waste, I also showed my sisters the show. 

And boy! WE ARE HOOKED!

Although I already watched it once, (I watched it in 2x) so I rewatched it in 1x with my sisters.
Oh boy! apparently many people are tempted to sign up for iQIYI just to watch it.
Am currently at Episode 24 with my sisters. And since work has resumed for us, it seems like it is unlikely for us to complete the series together by this week.

It will probably take 2 more weekends?
But I can rewatch it anytime so it's fine. 

Love the interactions between Wang Churan and Cheng lei. I'm seeing so many of their tiktok videos together. So sweet and I couldn't help and want to ship them so much.

Oh ya and currently, iQIYI is doing a CNY promotion. It's 40% off their annual fee if you subscribe through their phone app. 50% off if you subscribe through their website. 50% off sia I'm going to get it and chase all the Cdrama. :O

So much promotion is done for this show. They even release an animated version and a short drama version of it. 3 version at a go! There's so much to watch. 
But honestly, I couldn't stand the acting on the short drama version. Don't like the female and male lead there. 
Their acting is not as nice as Wang Churan and Cheng Lei so, there's no reason to watch the short drama version. 

Animated version is not bad as well.
But will I want to watch the animated version now that I've watched the full drama. Also, the release of the animated version is slower. 

I've initially watched the animated version cause the release of the drama version wasn't the most updated. But now the tide has changed. 

Ranking of the 3 version
1. Full Drama version 
2. Animated Version (It's actually really similar to the full drama version)
3. Short drama version (Horrible)

Anyway I'm gonna be getting the promotion so it'll be a year of Cdrama watching for me. 
Also, I'm so hooked to the story and now that I've finished the drama, I'm going to go and read the novels at my own time after this. 

I asked Gemini about the novel and it told me that there is an ebook version I could borrow through NLB! Borrowed and will probably be reading it this week XD.
The novel is in Chinese so you need to be a chinese reader in order to read it.

BTW; if you are interested in reading the novel and you are not from SG and hence couldn't use the NLB Ebook version, The Author is 七英俊 (Qi Yingjun) and it was originally serialized on Fanqie (Tomato) Novel (番茄小说) platform. There are no official english translation for this novel but you can try to find the novel under the title "This is Ridiculous" or "How Dare You!?". Or use google translate to translate it into English. There are also physical copies of the book but I'm not exactly sure where to get them.

I have tomato novel platform as well so I guess I'll go see what are the differences between the ebook version and the original novel version and which platform is actually a better read.

2 Weeks left before Circuit Breaker Period is over

Only 2 weeks left before the circuit breaker period is over. Although I really enjoyed my time during this circuit breaker playing games and goofing around, But looking at the situation, I have got no choice but to start catching up with what I've missed while goofing around. A second extension seem unlikely at this conjunction. Despite still having 600 over new cases tested in the dormitory, the number of cases in the community is quite low. (OR JUST THAT WE ARE ALL NOT TESTED) That means that if everyone follow safe distancing and ensure personal hygiene, it should be safe for people to head out. Furthermore, some of the sectors are already opened for business. Which means that if there is no sudden surge of cases in the local community,  there is no need for further extension. Forgetful :(

Too forgetful lately. Previously I left my wallet in school. Luckily someone returned it to the office and I managed to get it back. Otherwise I would have lost $300 just to get my IC replaced. Went out for surveying with my colleagues today. Took out my tablet for photo taking and recording of notes and then my colleague asked me to help shine torchlight (using phone) at where he wanted to take photo. (To get a nicer photo) Then I totally just put down my tablet on the nearest table and forget about it there! It was until after I left the place, board a taxi, sat down and decide to take a look of the photos taken then I realised that my tablet was missing! Spent the whole journey trying to recall where I left it. My colleague deduced the correct location though my colleague claim to not see me use my tablet when we were there. Apparently after we got back and have lunch and flip through the photos my colleague took, there was a photo of me using my tablet at the room...

I drafted this post on 30 April I was thinking to spend time after to think of how I plan to finish writing everything whether it should be a goal review + summary or just a normal post.  But I didn't.  So here it goes. ;    April has been an eventful month.  The studio that I’ve been going to for fitness is closed as they need to relocate. Didn’t feel like there were any other studios I wanted to try so I decided to host my closest classmate to do fitness together in my house weekly until the studio reopens.  I’m pretty bad at hosting but I think it gets better over time.  Anyway I’ve also been exploring Pilates while the studio is closed.
