Motivation

It seems like I have not been producing results at work for the past few weeks as I am feeling really unmotivated and lazy which is a very big problem which I am facing and I really need to fix!

I want to be motivated and productive so that I'll have more time for myself so, I have to start something.

Firstly, I have to find out what are my time wasters.

Time waster #1
Emails!
Emails will come in every time and I have to learn not to check it so often or click in whenever there is a notification.
A fix will be to designate a time to check email. ( and to disable that desktop notification so that you wont see it coming in.)

Time waster #2
Communication apps eg. Whatsapp, Telegram etc.
At my work place, we all use whatsapp as that is the platform we use for team communication. However it also tempts us to chat with our friends and family. (Soon, you find that it is almost time to leave work and you have not done much of your work.)

Time waster #3
Attending last minute meeting / discussion with no agenda.
It is just a bunch of people talking to waste time and not getting any job done. :(

Time waster #4
Multi task.
We are really not designed to multi task.
It will only cause us to be distracted and unable to focus.

After identifying what are the time wasters, then we have to tackle the problem 1 by 1. And of course we have to keep in mind that having the thought to change is of no use.
Take action to make sure there are changes!

Right now, My plan is to
1. Plan out my day. Set objective before my work starts.
2. Place all the things which I will need to use on my desktop so that I will be focused on the task which I planned on doing.
3. Check Email and whatsapp at designated timing.
(gonna change my whatsapp status to let people know to call me if it is urgent during office hours so that it is okay for me to not refer to my whatsapp messages.)

Actually it's kinda hard for me to follow through with the email and whatsapp plan. But I think I have to slowly adjust to it.

Gonna do more research on how to be more productive and put them all into action to see which one works the most on me.

It's kinda late and I shall rest. Goodnight guys.
