Phone plans!

Disclaimer : This post is badly written cause I just wanted to write about phone plans lol.

Earlier today, M1 made a big change! it replaced all of its mobile plans with only 2 base plans.
1 SIM only plan and the other is comes with handset.

I actually don't want to spend much on phone / phone number hence, I'm only looking at the SIM only plan. 

It's $25/Month
for 30GB, *1000Mins + 1000 SMS*, Free flow weekend data, Free caller ID, unlimited free calls to 3 M1 numbers and unlimited music streaming on Spotify

Looks really worth it! I mean after all most plans out there are offering 200minutes + 200 smses.
But wait!

It doesn't indicate free incoming and that's probably why they give you 1000mins + 1000 sms
So if you need to call / answer the phone a lot, then it is probably not very worth for you to get this plan.

However 30GB.. That's really a lot of data! You can switch to using whatsapp for calls if there isn't enough talktime.

This plan came just as I am thinking of changing my plan. But then after many comparison, I'm still not sure if I should make the switch / to stick to my current format.

Right now I'm only spending 19.90 on my phone monthly.
$9.90 for the sim card on my tablet (Zero1 1Gb plan)
$10 for the sim card on my phone (Circles life 1Gb Supposingly free plan)
(I like both the numbers very much and is unwilling to give up the numbers.)

Circles Life $0/mo Flexi Plan
$0/per month
1 Gb data
30min talktime (Yes no free incoming)

Registration Fee : $50 (It was around $30+ when I had mine delivered)

If you need any add on, you can do so on the circles life app.

The top up options available on the app for this $0 plan is as follows
$10 for 200 minutes + Unlimited incoming**
$8 for additional 1 GB
$12 for additional 2 GB 
$5 for 30minutes + free 10 SMS

** $10 top up for 200minutes + unlimited incoming is not shown on their website.
But I have used it since last year.

I used this free plan for my main line and kinda regret it cause the talktime is so little and many people have a hard time contacting me.

(I'm not sure whether using dual sim on my phone also affect how people are able to reach me cause sometimes people can't call through my phone though I can call out... Problem is solved after I restart my phone)

Also, I don't know if I want to cancel this plan as the registration fee was high.
Doesn't feel worth it for me to cancel at this point of time.
(This is what you get for ignoring the high registration fee. I should have gone with Zero1 for my main line as well!)

There is always a rectification measures for trying to be on low budget.
As the Zero1 plan is 1gb to unlimited, I also use it for my phone.
(Just that the speed is throttled. but I think it is still okay for me.

But now, that there is TPG, I registered and use it on my phone for data.
TPG is good! in terms of speed on connectivity.
But it is really doesn't have any connection when you are underground.
Nonetheless, it's free for now. So just go and get it.

A true Singaporean always go for free stuff.

2 Weeks left before Circuit Breaker Period is over

Only 2 weeks left before the circuit breaker period is over. Although I really enjoyed my time during this circuit breaker playing games and goofing around, But looking at the situation, I have got no choice but to start catching up with what I've missed while goofing around. A second extension seem unlikely at this conjunction. Despite still having 600 over new cases tested in the dormitory, the number of cases in the community is quite low. (OR JUST THAT WE ARE ALL NOT TESTED) That means that if everyone follow safe distancing and ensure personal hygiene, it should be safe for people to head out. Furthermore, some of the sectors are already opened for business. Which means that if there is no sudden surge of cases in the local community,  there is no need for further extension. As we are expecting no extension, it is time for us to start working hard to catch up on whatever we have left off while goofing off (Only applies if you are like me). Forgetful :(

Too forgetful lately. Previously I left my wallet in school. Luckily someone returned it to the office and I managed to get it back. Otherwise I would have lost $300 just to get my IC replaced. Went out for surveying with my colleagues today. Took out my tablet for photo taking and recording of notes and then my colleague asked me to help shine torchlight (using phone) at where he wanted to take photo. (To get a nicer photo) Then I totally just put down my tablet on the nearest table and forget about it there! It was until after I left the place, board a taxi, sat down and decide to take a look of the photos taken then I realised that my tablet was missing! Spent the whole journey trying to recall where I left it. My colleague deduced the correct location though my colleague claim to not see me use my tablet when we were there. Apparently after we got back and have lunch and flip through the photos my colleague took, there was a photo of me using my tablet at the room...

Procrastination :O

It seems like it's pretty hard for me to stick to the goals I have set due to me always procrastinating. I am always giving in to the monkey in my head. The battle against the need for instant gratification is real.  I want to reap the results but I don't really want to work for it :(.  While it doesn't sound fair but then that's what it is. Right now, I really just want to work on finding a system that will work for me at home and at work so that I can become more productive, organized and actually gives great output instead of wasting precious time on things that does not matter as much. Work has been hectic as there is a lot of things to handle right now. Yet I still find time to procrastinate whenever I get small and little things done. I think that should not be the case cause the project needs to be completed by November and we are still trying to figure out what is happening. Seems like I really need to step up my game and start to push for more output else I wil...
