2026 Resolution
Ok I know I wrote that my new year resolutions are as follows;
1. I want to have better looking skin in 2026.
2. I want to look more toned and also be more mindful of what I eat so that I can cut down abit of my weight.
3. Set up systems so that I procrastinate less and will be more efficient and motivated in doing my job.
4. Spend some time to study (Fitness, Investments, AI, Automations)
Looking at it today, I realized that all I really want to do right now is just be happy and do whatever the fk I want. For example, if I’m tired, sleep. If I’m lazy, sleep. If I feel like playing games, I shall play games.
But that’s not very sustainable. ☹
So, I guess I’ll better stick to my resolutions that I’ve set for 2026 which will also make me feel happy though I can’t be the lazy girl I am.
Let’s talk about each point one by one.
Starting from point 1: I want to have better looking skin in 2026.
Ending of 2023, I’ve been getting random pimple at nearing my period.
It’s very annoying and I always end up popping them on my own which feels really shiok.
But by 2024 – 2025, it’s getting too annoying and I ended up with many scars left on my skin.
Then there’s a period of pimple stickers, Facial Acupuncture, trying to sleep early, keeping myself hydrated and going for TCM medication. But what really became a turning point was me going on a trip to Korea with my girlies where I find out that I’ve been doing skincare wrong and also given the opportunity to try out many different KSkincare product during our 2 weeks stay there.
Skin is slowly becoming better. I just need to pay more attention to my skin and decide what products to use to suit my skin condition for the day.
By end of 2026, I hope to go back to my pre-covid face. With minimal occasional pimple and no long-term scarring on my face.
In order to achieve that I am planning to purchase different skincare products with different ingredients so that I can rotate the products to use according to my skin condition for the day / week. Go for a facial monthly and also resist popping or squeezing any pimples.
Point 2: I want to look more toned and also be more mindful of what I eat so that I can cut down abit of my weight.
I started pole dancing in August 2022 and am still in the sport at the moment.
It seems like I have gained quite a bit of muscle but I haven’t completely lost my fats (Since I am still eating what I usually eat and sometimes even more.) I’m now about 10KG more than when I first started poling and it’s affecting my free bicycle ride (Sitting at the back while my SO cycles)
So, I need to work on reducing the fats and toning the muscles.
I started pilates last year and I love it! I mean it’s a good compliment to pole. Been doing reformer pilates for a long time since then. I have recently started doing mat pilates and I think it would help tone my body so for the year 2026, I will be adding in more pilates mat into my schedule and hopefully, it will help me to tone my body more.
Also, I should do 1 core based sesh and pole practice on my own every week
Point 3: Set up systems so that I procrastinate less and will be more efficient and motivated in doing my job.
Ok I’ve been saying that I want to set up systems for a long time but it’s not really working.
Notion, Calendar, Block timing, Pomodoro Method, I’ve seen it and tested it all. It does work for a while but I just fall back to procrastination mode again. I guess the only way to be more efficient is to make everything more readily and easy for extraction which means I actually need to spend a lot of time building the data base needed.
So I’m going to sort out my digital and physical data to make it more accessible from everywhere. But first I need to sort out and clear my work laptop desktop. It’s filled with files. (By the end of this week)
Point 4: Spend some time to study (Fitness, Investments, AI, Automations)
I should spend time reading / watching videos regarding these topics I am interested in so that I am not stagnant. Got to start with the investment part since I need to earn more money to support my lifestyle. So imma go borrow Ebooks from NLB and start reading a portion of it every day and finish the book in a week. 1 Book every week.
So in conclusion,
Mindful eating, 1 core based session and 1 pole practice on my own every week.
Sorting out digital and physical data to make it accessible. 1 book a week.
